Jimmy Needham is about to bring it to you!!!

I just got the new album “NIGHT LIGHTS”. I put in the CD to give it a test and the first few seconds I looked at Rusty (my cocker spaniel) and said “Jimmy is about to bring it to you”. And as the song went on Jimmy did not disappoint. His voice sort of reminds me of a Stevie Wonder of the new millennium. The music is all about the soul.

“Moving to Zion” is the name of the first song and it’s so awesome.This is the gospel message in one song. It's all about breaking away from the sinful nature and moving into God's grace.

Song three is just stinking cool! It ministers, moves you, and Jimmy’s voice is amazing. I’m loving Jimmy and I’m only on song three.

Song four starts out with a guitar and a voice on fire. This is a song for all who believe. It’s a song of faith and truth but the music is just explosive.

“Steal Away” is a little love song about being with Jesus. I really like this one.

“Part The Clouds” is my favorite for Jimmy’s voice. You can hear every range in this one. I also love the melody in it. I can just imagine Jimmy bobbing his head as he was singing this one in the studio. But believe, the lyrics are hitting also. This is probably my favorite on the album. This song is all about playing down the truth so that we don't offend others. This song is so needed with all the craziness that's going on. Jimmy encourages us to just shout the truth about Jesus. It's my other favorite.

And how old is Jimmy? He could have sang with (no) out sang any one of the Motown era. “Amazing Grace” is more than amazing! He is rocking it. No! Killing it! Or whatever is the new proper term for “this guy is so awesome”!!! OK, I have to keep replaying this one a couple more times before I can move on to the next song. I mean, it really is that awesome!!! You have never heard Amazing Grace like this before. It's on fire!

And if you think Jimmy is just a great voice, no! Jimmy really is talented. But more than that he is a born again believer in Jesus Christ and the last tract (a poem) "Night Lights" tells you where Jimmy’s heart is.

And this is why I’m telling you to run out and get this album. Not just because his voice is so amazing, not just because the music made me dance, not just because this is a must have CD, but because this is a man who is in love with our Savior and is more concerned with praising and putting Jesus Christ above the music. The fact that this is am amazing album or that the album is definitely one of my favorites. I want you to get this CD because the heart behind the music is a heart for Jesus Christ.
